ALTEN Enters Exclusive Negotiations with Atos for Worldgrid Acquisition
ALTEN, a global leader in engineering and IT services, has initiated exclusive negotiations with Atos, a leader in digital transformation, aiming to acquire Worldgrid. Worldgrid is a European digital specialist in Energy & Utilities solutions. This strategic move will bolster ALTEN’s expertise in France, Spain, and Germany.
Worldgrid, with nearly 1,100 employees, has established strong relationships with clients, which will enhance ALTEN’s offerings, particularly in the nuclear energy sector. The acquisition promises to maintain service continuity for Worldgrid's strategic clients while presenting new growth opportunities through the synergies between ALTEN and Worldgrid.
The transaction is subject to customary conditions and is expected to finalize by the end of 2024. Simon Azoulay, Chairman and CEO of ALTEN, emphasized that Worldgrid’s expertise would significantly strengthen ALTEN's presence in the Energy and Utilities sectors.
