VOGO obtains FIBA (International Basketball Federation) Approval for its Instant Replay System

A new international recognition that strengthens VOGO’s position in video-assisted refereeing and opens up new opportunities for commercial growth.

VOGO (ISIN: FR0011532225 – ALVGO), a member of the ABEO Group, announces that its VOGOSPORT Elite solution has obtained FIBA approval for its Instant Replay System (IRS).

This recognition by FIBA (the International Basketball Federation), the world governing body for basketball, marks a further milestone in VOGO’s development. Following the achievement of FIFA certifications in 2023, this latest recognition by a leading international sports federation further reinforces the Group’s technological expertise and supports its international growth ambitions.

A strategic approval in the video-assisted refereeing market

Specialising in video replay and communication solutions for professional sport, VOGO develops technologies designed to support referees and match officials in their decision-making, while improving the smooth running and efficiency of operations during competitions.

Through its VOGOSPORT platform, VOGO offers instant replay and video-assisted decision-making systems that enable match incidents to be reviewed and help ensure more accurate refereeing decisions. FIBA Instant Replay System (IRS) approval represents another significant milestone for this offering. It is in line with the Group’s strategy of developing solutions that meet the requirements of major international sporting competitions.

An offering now available to all National Federations

With operations spanning more than 40 countries and solutions deployed across 25 sports, VOGO has established a strong international presence in sports technologies.

FIBA approval strengthens VOGO’s position in basketball and enables the Group to further develop its commercial offering to National Federations worldwide. Building on its experience in video-assisted refereeing and its existing international footprint, VOGO aims to leverage this recognition to unlock new business opportunities in basketball.

In a market characterised by the growing adoption of video-assisted refereeing and increasingly stringent requirements for reliability and performance, VOGO intends to continue expanding its offering, leveraging its complementary technologies, international track record and membership of the ABEO Group.
