The global L4 RoboVan leader with the world's largest autonomous delivery fleet, charts the path toward RoboVan-as-a-Service in Europe.

HANOVER, Germany, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Neolix, a global leader in autonomous RoboVan with the world's largest commercial autonomous vehicle fleet, is establishing its European headquarters in Luxembourg, marking the next phase of its expansion from early pilots and partnerships to a locally anchored commercial operation.

Announced at IAA Transportation 2026, the move brings together regulatory readiness, a growing network of local partners in Europe and Neolix's proven autonomous logistics technology to build a scalable platform for intra-city delivery across European markets.

From Pilots to Long-Term Commitment

Luxembourg will serve as Neolix's corporate and regulatory base in Europe, reflecting the company's long-term commitment to the market. Neolix is building a local organization and infrastructure to support commercial operations and future growth across Europe.

"Europe's logistics sector is facing a growing shortage of drivers while delivery demand continues to rise," said Will Zhao, Executive President of Neolix. "Neolix is bringing proven commercialization experience to the European market, backed by technology that has already been deployed at scale. Our commitment to Europe is operational, not experimental. We're here to build a long-term business with European customers and partners."

Neolix plans to establish additional local entities as its European business expands.

"Autonomous logistics will not be delivered to Europe from the outside — it will be built here, with European partners, under European rules, and by teams answerable to the communities they serve," said Dr. Yong Gessner, Vice President and Head of Neolix Europe, speaking at IAA Transportation 2026. "That is the company we are building."

Neolix's European footprint already spans a first set of markets — Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, France and Switzerland — with more to follow. Each engagement is deliberately scoped to build the partnerships, the regulatory relationships and the operational understanding on which broader commercial deployment will be built.

Bringing Proven Global Experience to European Roads

Neolix's deeper presence in Europe comes as the company continues to scale its commercial autonomous-vehicle operations globally. The company has deployed approximately 27,000 RoboVans worldwide, with more than 230 million kilometers of operations accumulated and more than 1 million autonomous kilometers generated daily.

Neolix's fleet size significantly exceeds the current scale of leading robotaxi deployments. The scale of Neolix's operations reflects a broader shift in autonomous driving toward commercial deployment in real-world logistics environments.

This is especially critical in Europe, where transport and logistics face acute, structural labour shortages. The European Labour Authority's 2025 report highlights widespread labour gaps driven by demographics and skills mismatches. Crucially, the International Road Transport Union (IRU) estimates over 500,000 unfilled truck driver roles (13% of the workforce), with 660,000 more retirements expected by 2030—forcing two-thirds of operators to turn down new contracts because they cannot find enough drivers.

For Neolix, these conditions reinforce the potential for autonomous delivery to address specific, recurring logistics tasks and help businesses expand delivery capacity while reducing reliance on driver availability.

Building the European Ecosystem for Driverless Delivery

Neolix is building a European ecosystem of partners across autonomous vehicle operations, connectivity, technology, logistics and retail.

The company is entering strategic partnerships with European companies in the AV operations and mapping sector, as well as in connectivity and edge computing. Together, these partnerships strengthen the operational and network infrastructure required to support scalable L4 autonomous fleet operations.

Neolix is also in discussions with prospective logistics, retail, insurance and technology partners across Europe as it works to build the broader ecosystem required for commercial driverless delivery.

Regulatory compliance is being integrated into Neolix's European operations from the outset, covering data protection, AI governance and vehicle homologation.

Neolix's European strategy is focused on moving beyond individual pilots toward repeatable, scalable commercial operations. By combining locally established operations, European partnerships and regulatory readiness with a globally proven autonomous logistics platform, the company aims to support customers across Europe as they adopt driverless delivery at scale.

"Europe is not a market we enter — it is one we help shape," said Dr. Gessner. "That means a local organisation, an ecosystem of established European partners, and the infrastructure to lead the autonomous logistics era from the ground up."
