Revenues for fiscal year 2025/2026

Revenues for fiscal year 2025/2026

  • Full-year revenue was supported by the strong performance of the catalogue, with TV/SVOD sales more than doubling thanks to the opening of new rights windows, notably for the Taxi franchise.
  • International sales declined compared with the previous fiscal year, which had benefited from deliveries of the film Dracula. However, the film’s theatrical success - 650,000 admissions in France and $13 million in U.S. box office revenue - is expected to support revenues from its U.S. exploitation in the coming fiscal year, while further enhancing the value of the catalogue.
  • Consolidated annual revenue therefore amounted to €26.1 million, compared with €31.6 million in the previous financial year (-17%).
  • Regarding the upcoming line-up, the film Father Joe, written and produced by Luc Besson, will headline the slate, while numerous other projects are currently in development.

Paris, 28 May 2026 – EuropaCorp, one of Europe’s leading independent film studios and a producer and distributor of motion pictures, announces its consolidated annual revenue for fiscal year 2025/2026, ended March 31, 2026, as approved by the Board of Directors and currently under audit.

International Sales

International Sales generated €11.7 million over the financial year, representing approximately 45% of total revenue, compared with €22.0 million in the previous year. These revenues mainly stem from the final deliveries to international distributors of the film Dracula, albeit at lower levels than in the prior year. Revenues related to the film’s U.S. exploitation - released in February 2026 - will be recognised in the following financial year. This business segment also benefited from significant catalogue royalties, notably from Lucy, Colombiana, Transporter 2 and 3, and Taken 3.

The Theatrical Distribution segment

The Theatrical Distribution segment recorded no revenue during the year, as Dracula, co-produced with LBP, was distributed in France by SND, compared with €0.2 million in 2024/2025, which related to the theatrical release of Weekend in Taipei.

Released in France on 30 July 2025, Dracula achieved more than 650,000 admissions, making it one of the strongest-performing French films of the summer. The film was also released in the United States in February 2026, distributed by Vertical Entertainment, where it generated over $13 million at the box office. These performances further enhance the film’s long-term value within the Group’s catalogue.

Video & VOD

Video & VOD revenues in France and the United States amounted to €1.1 million, slightly down from €1.2 million in the previous year. They mainly consist of VOD sales in France across various titles, including Lucy and films from the Arthur and Taxi franchises.

Television & SVOD

Television & SVOD revenues in France and the United States more than doubled in FY 2025/2026, reaching €12.1 million, or 46% of total revenue, compared with €5.2 million in the prior year. Primarily driven by the French market, these revenues benefited from the opening of broadcasting windows for several catalogue titles, notably the Taxi and Transporter franchises, as well as Lucy and Bis.

Series

Series revenue amounted to €0.1 million in FY 2025/2026, compared with €0.8 million in the prior year. This revenue mainly relates to royalties from the Taken series, released more than nine years ago.

Revenue from Other Activities

Revenue from Other Activities totalled €1.2 million, compared with €2.2 million in the previous year. This segment includes revenues from ancillary rights (partnerships, licensing, music publishing, private copying, etc.) and co-productions entered into by the Group. The decrease is mainly attributable to lower co-production revenues and private copying levies.

Outlook

In a market still marked by strong selectivity from broadcasters and streaming platforms, EuropaCorp continues to pursue a strategy focused on enhancing the value of its catalogue, notably through the development of series adapted from its flagship franchises, the production of high international potential content, and the establishment of strategic European co-productions.

During the financial year, the Group produced or co-produced several films scheduled for release in the coming periods, including Father Joe and Deviens Génial (“Become Awesome”).

Father Joe

Father Joe, written by Luc Besson and directed by Barthélemy Grossmann, starring Kiefer Sutherland and Al Pacino, is currently in post-production.

Set in 1990s New York, this thriller follows a priest with a military past waging a secret war against the local mafia. From a church turned fortress, he enforces a brutal form of justice, between faith, violence, and redemption.

The film is produced by LBP in co-production with EuropaCorp.

Deviens Génial (“Become Awesome”)

The Group also co-produced Deviens Génial, alongside Nolita, directed by Léo Grandperret and starring Manu Payet and Melha Bedia. The film will be released in French theatres on 17 June 2026.

The story follows Mathias who, in order to remain close to his daughter, takes over the middle school’s German class. But when the class is threatened with cancellation, he is forced to organise a school trip to Germany to save it. The problem? Mathias is actually a Spanish teacher.

Active Development Slate

Leveraging the strength of its catalogue and its long-standing expertise in internationally oriented productions, the Group continues to develop ambitious projects aligned with evolving market trends. EuropaCorp is actively developing around fifteen film and series projects, in both French and English, for theatrical release and streaming platforms, some of which involve internationally recognised talent and partners. The Group therefore continues to pursue its strategy focused on its core genres: action, thriller and comedy.
