Encavis delivers a record year 2025: additional 854 MW of capacity, now 3.3 GW in operation

Hamburg, 9 February 2026 – Encavis, a leading pan-European Independent Power Producer in the Renewable Energy sector and headquartered in Hamburg, looks back on an exceptionally successful financial year 2025. In total, the company brought 854 MW of additional generation capacity online last year, including 403 MW from newly acquired parks. This increase raises Encavis’ total green power generation capacity to 3.3 gigawatts (GW). Additionally, Encavis manages 1.6 GW for institutional investors.

Acquisitions of wind and solar parks or projects (in operation, under construction, or ready-to build) amounted to 754 MW, corresponding to 1.7 TWh of additional electricity generation – also record-breaking figures. Among the many acquisitions of the year, the Italian Giotto portfolio stands out with 265 MW, of which 248 MW are already producing green power. The Aragón portfolio in northern Spain, comprising 199 MW of wind and solar assets, is likewise remarkable.

These two acquisitions alone – for which Encavis arranged financing of €200million (Giotto) and €135million (Aragón) – clearly demonstrate that, since 2025, Encavis has been capable of acquiring and successfully financing several large-scale portfolios within a single year. In addition, numerous high-quality wind and solar parks in Germany and France were taken over in 2025.

Another success was achieved in the latest FER‑X auction round in the Italian market, where all submitted projects were selected. Encavis’ bids achieved some of the highest remuneration rates in the entire process. Four solar projects from the Italian development pipeline – some already approved, others nearing final approval – were chosen. Together, they will add 140 MW of new capacity in central and southern Italy. This exceptional outcome strengthens Encavis’ position in one of Europe’s most dynamic solar markets and provides further momentum for the continued expansion of the Italian development pipeline.

Encavis is also making strong progress in the battery storage segment. The two BESS projects in Hettstedt (12 MW) and Apeldoorn (17 MW) are close to commissioning, marking important milestones in the strategic expansion of this business area.

In addition, Encavis secured several new landmark Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with renowned companies. Particularly noteworthy is the PPA with Sinebrychoff, a Carlsberg subsidiary in Finland, further strengthening the company’s growing portfolio of long-term supply contracts. Other reliable partners include global technology companies such as Amazon, Google and Microsoft, as well as European industrial groups such as Aliaxis and Schouw & Co. This broad customer base underscores the attractiveness of Encavis’ generation portfolio and the strong demand for green electricity produced by Encavis’ assets.

Stern Energy also delivered an impressive performance in 2025, reinforcing its system integration expertise with key EPC and EPCm projects – including an EPCm contract in Germany (65 MW) and two turnkey EPC projects in Italy (70 MW) including grid connection works. Stern Energy also executed successful revamping projects totaling 191 MW over the last 3 years.

Stern Energy expanded its technological scope by starting the provision of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) services for BESS systems in both Italy and Germany. In parallel, the establishment of Stern Engineering marked a strategic step toward deepening technical know-how across the service value chain. Additional operational innovations included the launch of a pilot project for fully automated vegetation management using autonomous vehicles. Moreover, Stern Energy expanded its European footprint by opening a new office in Denmark and continued its growth across all operating markets.

Encavis CEO Mario Schirru emphasizes: “What truly sets Encavis apart is our consistently customer-focused expansion and sales strategy across our European markets. We are increasingly succeeding in acquiring, financing and bringing highquality wind and solar projects online. At the same time, we maintain the right country focus, an appropriate mix of wind and solar parks, and a well‑balanced combination of subsidised assets and PPAs. I am extremely proud of what our entire team achieved in 2025.”
