Munich/Berlin, February 24, 2026 – sofatutor, a portfolio company of EMERAM, has acquired the French learning platform SchoolMouv. With this acquisition, sofatutor, supported by EMERAM, is implementing the first major add-on in the French market, a decisive step towards the implementation of the joint internationalization strategy.

The acquisition marks a strategic milestone in sofatutor's development from a leading provider in the German-speaking market to a European EdTech company. EMERAM actively supports this growth course and sees the transaction as an important step towards building a leading digital education platform in Europe. With more than 2 million users, around 7,000 learning videos and over 200,000 interactive exercises, sofatutor is one of the most comprehensive digital learning platforms in the German-speaking countries. In addition to the core platform sofatutor.com, the portfolio also includes the early learning app sofatutor KIDS for children aged 2 to 6.

SchoolMouv, founded in Toulouse in 2013, is an online learning platform focused on the French curriculum with videos, structured courses, interactive quizzes, a flashcard product and AI-supported learning content generation. The company employs around 40 people and will continue to operate on the market as an independent brand with its own management.
