DEAG further strengthens ticketing division and appoints Lukas Goy to the Executive Board of its subsidiary mytic myticket AG

Berlin, 25 May 2023 – DEAG Deutsche Entertainment Aktiengesellschaft (“DEAG”) is positioning itself for continued growth in the area of ticketing and has appointed Lukas Goy to the Executive Board of the DEAG subsidiary mytic myticket AG (“myticket”). Goy was previously co-responsible for the operational business. As a member of the Executive Board (COO), he will also assume responsibility for strategic planning and, together with the company’s CEO, Moritz Schwenkow, drive the expansion of its business activities. With the expansion of the Executive Board, DEAG is paying tribute to the further development and growth of the ticketing business.

Lukas Goy has been with myticket since 2018. He previously worked as a Project Manager for the DEAG subsidiary River Concerts, among his other positions. One focus of his responsibilities will be on the further dovetailing and leveraging of synergies between DEAG’s own ticketing platforms myticket.de, myticket.at, myticket.co.uk, Gigantic.com and tickets.ie, as well as the development of new sales channels.

DEAG’s ticketing business has been growing significantly for years. A total of more than 9 million tickets were sold in 2022, up from more than 5 million before the corona pandemic. For the current financial year, DEAG is planning to sell more than 10 million tickets for around 6,000 events, the majority of which will be sold via the group’s own ticketing platforms. In 2023, DEAG will be organizing concerts and events by Kiss, Till Lindemann, Jazeek, Disney on Ice or The Who, for which tickets can be purchased via myticket. DEAG is striving to make it become an established sales channel in its core markets, not only for concerts and events, but also for sports and exhibitions.

“I am delighted to have Lukas Goy join me as a colleague on the Board. We have been working together successfully and trustfully for many years. Ticketing is one of DEAG’s fastest growing areas. We are on a dynamic growth trajectory and want to incorporate new technologies into our portfolio in the future and thus continue to offer our customers first-class entertainment,” said Moritz Schwenkow, CEO of myticket.

“DEAG is excellently positioned in the ticketing market. Myticket AG is a strong ticketing provider with state-of-the-art platforms and a broad range of offerings on music from all genres and events for every age group. I am pleased to be able to accompany DEAG on its successful growth course,” added Lukas Goy, COO of myticket.
