Broccoli Raises $52M Led by Khosla Ventures to Help Home Services Businesses Book More Jobs and Keep Customers

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, October 28th, 2026, FinanceWire

More than 1,500 businesses use Broccoli’s AI agents to answer calls, book appointments and stay connected with homeowners long after the job is done.

Broccoli has raised $52 million across its Series A and Series B rounds, both led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator and Operator Partners. The two rounds, completed just nine months apart, reflect the rapid adoption of Broccoli’s AI platform.

More than 1,500 home-service businesses use Broccoli, including Ace Hardware Home Services, Any Hour Group, Mr. Electric and Authority Brands. They have used the platform to handle more than 10 million customer conversations and book 2.5 million service and sales appointments.

Broccoli’s AI agents help home-service businesses deliver a better customer experience at every stage of the relationship. They answer calls, book appointments, follow up on estimates, renew service memberships and reconnect with past customers when schedules allow. Before a technician arrives, the agents gather information about the home, its equipment and service history so teams can arrive better prepared. After the visit, they help businesses stay connected with homeowners, identify missed follow-ups and uncover opportunities to serve customers better.

The goal is to help contractors deliver the kind of personalized, reliable service that builds lasting relationships. By connecting information across customer interactions and the tools businesses already use, Broccoli helps teams understand each homeowner's needs, respond faster and deliver a consistent experience from the first call to years after the first service visit.

For one national, multi-location company, Broccoli reports a 29% increase in revenue and a 36% reduction in overhead in its first year.

“The best contractors spend years earning their customers’ trust,” said AJ Jain, co-founder and CEO of Broccoli. “We want to give them the technology to build on that trust and take care of customers for life. Every interaction matters, from the first call to long after the technician leaves.”
“We are short on plumbers, electricians and HVAC technicians, and the ones we have spend their nights on paperwork. Software should have solved that long ago. With Broccoli, AI does the office work, and the people who keep our homes running get back to the work only they can do,” said Samir Kaul, Founding General Partner at Khosla Ventures.

AJ Jain and co-founder Adi Ketkar met at BITS Pilani and previously built Y Combinator-backed Telematica. Their first Broccoli customer was Armstrong Plumbing, led by longtime home-service operator Marcelle Flowers, who later joined the company as Chief Industry Officer.

“I’ve spent my life in the trades, and I know contractors care about their customers,” said Flowers. “The challenge is finding enough hours in the day to give every customer the experience you want them to have.”

Today, Broccoli’s 160-person team combines engineers and leaders from Microsoft, Amazon and Uber with experienced home-services operators. Broccoli is headquartered in San Francisco, has offices in Utah, and will use the funding to accelerate hiring and expand its AI capabilities across the customer journey.
