ZCCM-IH Appoints Phesto Musonda as Non-Executive Director and Chairperson

ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc (“ZCCM-IH”), a major player on the Lusaka Securities Exchange, has announced a leadership change effective from June 9, 2025. Phesto Musonda has been appointed as Non-Executive Director and Chairperson of the Board. This decision was made by the Industrial Development Corporation, the majority shareholder of ZCCM-IH, according to LuSE rules.

Mr. Musonda is a notable figure in Zambia, with over 30 years of experience in the construction and mining sectors, leading firms like Phoenix Materials Ltd and Sub Sahara Gemstone Exchange Industrial Park Ltd. His leadership has been pivotal in economic and infrastructural improvements in Zambia. Musonda's strategic vision and experience in policy advocacy have distinguished him as a key figure in the region's industrial development.
