ZCCM-IH Announces Strategic Partnership with Sino Great and Wonderful Group
ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc (ZCCM-IH) has announced a major transaction with Sino Great Group Ltd. and Wonderful Group of Companies Limited. This collaboration aims to develop an integrated phosphate fertiliser plant in Zambia, marking a significant step in the country's industrial and agricultural development. The project includes a phosphate rock mine and a large-scale fertiliser factory, alongside energy infrastructure in Chilanga District, Zambia.
The transaction involves a USD 50 million investment by ZCCM-IH, securing a 30% equity stake and providing debt financing. The project's execution will be managed by Wuhuan Engineering Company Limited, a seasoned global construction firm. The partnership's primary goal is to boost Zambia's industrial mineral beneficiation and agricultural productivity.
