WyoTech meets the growing demand for qualified technicians
Recent statistics released by WyoTech, a leading vocational training school in the automotive, diesel, bodywork, painting and welding sectors, show an increase in its registration rate, graduates and professional placement. Since the school was acquired in 2018 by new management led by former President Jim Mathis, WyoTech has experienced significant growth in its student body, nearly doubling the size of its graduating class from 487 in 2018 to 804 in 2023.
The school has not only successfully managed this rapid growth but also improved its graduation rate from 78% in 2018 to 85% in 2023, surpassing national graduation averages. Additionally, despite sending more graduates into the workforce, WyoTech has maintained a strong job placement rate, with 458 graduates finding jobs in 2023, up from 255 in 2018. This performance highlights WyoTech's recognition for quality of its training and the preparation of its students for the specific needs of the job market.
Kyle Morris, president of WyoTech, attributes these successes to the rigor of the training offered and its professional approach, including an intensive, hands-on curriculum and a strict presentation code for its students. These elements have helped make WyoTech a reference for employers looking for qualified technicians ready to enter the job market.
The increased need for trained technicians in the industry, exacerbated by the retirement of experienced workers, confirms the importance of WyoTech's mission. The school continues to work to meet this growing demand by producing highly skilled and disciplined professionals ready to meet the challenges of today's industry.
