Vulcan Minerals Inc. Reveals Promising Exploration Results for Springdale Copper-Gold Project

Vulcan Minerals Inc. has shared a significant exploration update on its Springdale Copper-Gold project in north central Newfoundland. Notably, the discovery of the Teapot Prospect with quartz veins assaying up to 6.65 g/t Au and 1.4% copper has captured attention, alongside potential new exploration targets highlighted by gold and copper soil geochemical anomalies at Pine Pond and West Brook.

The Teapot Prospect, unveiled in 2023, is marked by shear-zone hosted gold-bearing quartz veins. Initial rock sample assays have shown promising gold concentrations. Additionally, soil geochemical surveys conducted over two grids have revealed several gold and copper soil anomalies, underpinning the project's exploration potential.

Patrick Laracy, President of Vulcan, expressed optimism regarding the project’s ongoing exploration outcomes. These efforts are aimed at identifying new targets and increasing historical deposits to bolster the region’s copper and gold resource base. The objective aligns with re-establishing the area’s historic mining significance. Laracy also mentioned the development of the 2024 exploration work program as part of their strategy to enhance project value.
