Vulcan Minerals Inc. Advances Newfoundland Zinc - Lead Exploration

St. John's, NL / ACCESSWIRE / June 27, 2024 / Vulcan Minerals Inc. (TSX-V:VUL) has provided an update on its 100% owned Carbonear project in eastern Newfoundland.

Significant zinc and lead soil geochemical anomalies have been identified. A gravity survey completed in two test areas yielded positive results, and historic core samples were resampled.

The company conducted extensive soil geochemical surveys in 2023 and 2022, with a focus on a magnetically anomalous zone. Results from these surveys confirmed the area's high zinc and lead levels, reinforcing historic data that made the region one of Newfoundland's highest multi-element geochemical anomalies.

A gravity survey over the Gull Pond grids detected anomalies that coincide with magnetic trends and zinc and lead soil anomalies. These findings suggest the potential for stratified SEDEX deposits.

Historic drill holes from 1997 were resampled, showing anomalous zinc mineralization. Additional assays are pending. Vulcan plans to systematically explore the area to advance it to the drill target stage.
