Vossloh Expands in Scandinavia with Acquisition of Nordic Tamping Service

Vossloh has successfully acquired Nordic Tamping Service AB (NTS), a company based in Borlänge, Sweden. The acquisition was finalized on January 9, 2026. NTS specializes in tamping ballast beds, which stabilizes tracks and is primarily active in Sweden and Norway. This strategic move allows Vossloh to broaden its service offerings for railway network operators in Scandinavia.

According to Oliver Schuster, CEO of Vossloh AG, the integration of NTS into Vossloh enhances their ability to offer a comprehensive range of services from a single source. Vossloh's Scandinavian team already comprises around 530 employees, with activities spanning the supply of turnouts, fastening systems, and more. NTS is set to be integrated into the Lifecycle Solutions business unit of Vossloh.
