This move includes acquiring a 72-acre site with over 246,000 square feet for manufacturing. The decision aligns with the company's strategy to expand its global operations from its American origins.

Originally founded in 2015 in Chapel Hill, the company has been serving utility-scale solar projects and is shifting its headquarters to Roxboro to stimulate local employment and economic growth. Voltage Energy anticipates significant investment in the facility over the next three years.

The community, including local authorities and educational institutions, has expressed strong support for this development. The facility's proximity to Piedmont Community College promises new opportunities for student training and community engagement.
