Viridien Selected for Technology-Driven Mineral Exploration Program in Oman

Viridien has been awarded a comprehensive remote sensing program by Minerals Development Oman (MDO) to identify, map, and rank mineralization prospectivity potential. The program will cover seven concessions with a total area of 16,000 km². This initiative aims to strategically develop Oman's mineral resources.

Viridien's team will employ machine learning, high-performance computing, and advanced algorithms. They will utilize multi- and hyperspectral satellite imagery to create Bare Earth Plus models. These models will integrate data from structural, geophysical, and gamma-ray spectrometry sources to identify the mineral potential in the Samail and Masirah Ophiolites.

Peter Whiting, EVP of Geoscience at Viridien, highlighted their fifty-year track record and their aim to support efficient and accurate decision-making for mine operators.
