Vallourec signs major contract with Petrobras
Meudon (France), September 27, 2024 – Vallourec announces the signing of a major contract with Petrobras. The agreement concerns the supply of premium tubular products for the oil sector, notably for the Sepia 2 and Atapu 2 projects. Vallourec will also provide a full range of associated services and digital solutions.
Vallourec is highlighting its expertise in supplying complex steels and premium connections for deepwater pre-salt fields in Brazil. The products will be manufactured at its Brazilian plants, whose production capacity has been increased thanks to recent investments.
This contract, which provides for deliveries of up to 25,000 tonnes over three years, underlines Vallourec’s strategic position in the Brazilian market. Philippe Guillemot, Chairman and CEO, said that this contract confirms the company’s unique positioning and its commitment to providing high value-added tubular solutions.
