This comprehensive analysis covers the current market for knowledge management (KM) solutions. USU is the only German-headquartered manufacturer among the 20 notable KM solution providers mentioned. Vendors offer various functions targeting specific use cases, such as agile knowledge capture, optimization, retrieval, search, and reporting.

Forrester defines KM solutions as systems that capture, organize, share, analyze, and improve knowledge artifacts, using advanced capabilities like AI, ML, and NLP. The report emphasizes the disruptive nature of generative AI, marking a significant evolution in how information is managed.
