US Sanctions Against Major Shareholder Alex Studhalter Lifted

Highlight Event and Entertainment AG (HLEE) announced that the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has removed Alex Studhalter, a major shareholder of HLEE, from the US sanctions list. This marks the end of sanctions against the Studhalter family and the companies they manage. Alex Studhalter holds a 19.99% stake in HLEE through his company, Swiss International Investment Portfolio AG (SWIIP).

Studhalter faced US sanctions in November 2022, leading to his resignation from several Board of Directors positions at HLEE, Highlight Communications AG, and various Group companies. His shareholding dropped below 20% after HLEE's capital increase in autumn 2023. Although HLEE was never directly affected by these sanctions, their removal is expected to bolster legal certainty and strengthen the confidence of customers, business partners, and investors.
