UBS Announces Notable Changes to its Board of Directors
UBS Group AG has announced the nomination of Agustín Carstens and Luca Maestri for election to its Board of Directors at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on April 15, 2026. Carstens, formerly the General Manager of the Bank of International Settlements, has extensive experience in financial regulation and monetary policy. Maestri, Vice President of Apple's Corporate Services, brings a wealth of experience from his tenure as CFO at Apple and previous roles at Xerox and Nokia Siemens Networks.
This announcement coincides with the decision of William C. Dudley and Jeanette Wong not to seek re-election. Additionally, the current Vice Chairman, Lukas Gähwiler, will step down, with Markus Ronner nominated as his successor. Chairman Colm Kelleher expressed gratitude for the outgoing members' contributions and enthusiasm for the expertise Carstens and Maestri will bring.
