Triton to Sell Blitz LuxCo Sarl, Holding Company of Bormioli Pharma Group

Luxembourg, 23 May 2024 - Triton, advised by funds and co-investors, has signed an agreement to sell Blitz LuxCo Sarl, the holding company of Bormioli Pharma Group, to Gerresheimer. This transaction is pending regulatory approval and is expected to finalize in the fourth quarter of this year.

Bormioli, a producer of pharmaceutical packaging, was acquired by Triton in 2017. Under Triton's guidance, Bormioli has grown significantly, employing approximately 1,500 people and generating over EUR 370 million in sales across more than 100 countries.

Triton facilitated this growth by enhancing Bormioli's management team, upgrading its manufacturing processes, and integrating four strategic acquisitions. These efforts have positioned Bormioli as a leader in sustainable pharmaceutical packaging solutions.

Moritz Gudenus from Triton expressed gratitude to Bormioli's team for their commitment, while Andrea Lodetti, CEO of Bormioli Pharma Group, highlighted the role of Triton in expanding their market presence. Financial advisory was provided by BNP Paribas and Goldman Sachs International.
