Travis Perkins Sells Staircraft Business for £24 Million

Travis Perkins plc, a leading UK distributor of building materials, has announced the sale of its Staircraft business. The specialist in floor kits, i-joists, and staircases has been sold to Gait Consulting for £24 million. Gait Consulting is primarily owned by Staircraft’s founder, returning the business to its original roots.

The transaction aligns with Travis Perkins' strategy to simplify its operations and focus more on its core objective: to be the UK's top building materials distributor. The proceeds of the sale will be utilized to enhance the company’s balance sheet and reinforce its core investments. CFO Duncan Cooper expressed gratitude to Staircraft employees for their service and wished them well in their new independent setup.
