Travis Perkins Appoints Gavin Slark as New CEO

Travis Perkins plc has announced the appointment of Gavin Slark as its new Chief Executive Officer. Slark will assume his role by January 1, 2026. The decision follows a thorough search process to find a leader who brings extensive experience in the building materials and merchanting industry.

Slark has served as CEO of SIG plc since 2023 and previously led Grafton Group plc from 2011 to 2022. His earlier role was as CEO of The BSS Group plc until its acquisition by Travis Perkins in 2011. The Board expressed enthusiasm for Slark’s appointment, highlighting his industry expertise and leadership skills.

Current Board Chair Geoff Drabble noted that Slark is well-equipped to further the company's efforts to adapt operations to better serve customers and engage with suppliers.
