The Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm Inaugurated in Taiwan

Skyborn Renewables GmbH has officially inaugurated the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan. With a total capacity of 640 MW, it provides clean energy to over 600,000 households, marking a major milestone in Taiwan's offshore wind energy sector. This project contributes significantly to Taiwan's transition towards sustainable energy.

The inauguration ceremony took place at Santiaolun Beach & Water Park, with guests including Taiwanese government representatives and business leaders. The wind farm, located 8 km off Yunlin County's coastline, consists of 80 wind turbine generators. Its electricity is distributed to the Taiwanese power grid via two onshore substations.

Skyborn Renewables led the development and construction of the project from its inception. Post-commercial launch in June 2025, TotalEnergies will manage technical operations, while Skyborn continues to oversee other management services. This project symbolizes a shift in Taiwan's energy landscape towards renewable sources.
