The Platform Group AG Acquires Aplanta Platform
On June 25, 2024, The Platform Group AG, a leading software entity for platform solutions, announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Aplanta, a platform specializing in artificial plants.
Johannes Osterwind, CEO of Aplanta, expressed optimism about the partnership. He highlighted TPG as a strategic ally for the scaling and international growth of Aplanta, aiming to dominate the European market for artificial plants.
Founded in 2022, Aplanta caters to B2B and B2C customers in Europe, primarily in the hotel, restaurant, office, and event sectors. The company is based in Eltville, Hesse.
CEO of The Platform Group AG, Dr. Dominik Benner, emphasized entering a new industry worth EUR 1.7 billion and connecting new partners profitably. The transaction was signed in June 2024 and is expected to close in July 2024.
