The Fresh Factory Expands Operations with New 56,000 SF Facility in Downers Grove, Illinois

The Fresh Factory B.C. Ltd. (TSXV:FRSH) (FRA:Q4Z) has announced a lease agreement for a 56,000-square-foot facility in Downers Grove, Illinois. This expansion aims to enhance production and streamline operations, positioning the company for future growth.

CEO Bill Besenhofer highlighted the facility as a crucial step in expanding infrastructure for the food and beverage industry. The site will allow for additional equipment, increased vertical integration, and new growth opportunities.

Located at 3600 Lacey Rd, the new facility will feature extensive storage capabilities, including 200 pallet positions for frozen storage, 1,000 for refrigerated storage, and 1,800 for dry storage. The site will also include over 12,000 square feet of production space and modern office areas.

The facility, completed in 2019, boasts ceilings up to 36 feet. The company plans to add an R&D lab and a customer-experience center to encourage collaboration. It is set to be fully operational by Q4 2024.
