The Assistance Fund Launches Financial Aid Program for NASH Patients

The Assistance Fund, an independent charitable patient assistance organization, has introduced a new financial assistance program to support individuals living with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). This program aims to help eligible patients cover out-of-pocket medical expenses such as copays, health insurance premiums, and other incidental medical costs.

Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is a liver disease characterized by fat accumulation in the liver, leading to inflammation and potential cirrhosis. A NASH diagnosis is confirmed through testing or a liver biopsy.

"People living with NASH should focus on their wellbeing, not their wallet," said Danielle Vizcaino, President and CEO of The Assistance Fund. The new program aims to reduce financial barriers and make essential treatments more accessible to those affected by NASH.
