Thailand's Cement Industry Steers Toward Net Zero 2050

Thailand is enhancing its push towards a net-zero economy with the launch of "The NEXT Chapter to Net Zero 2050." The Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) announced this initiative on its 20th anniversary. It emphasizes the cement industry's role as a Climate Solution Partner, contributing to national climate goals in alignment with the Thailand 2050 Net Zero Cement and Concrete Roadmap.

The event, overseen by Industry Minister Varawut Silpa-archa, highlighted the necessity of coordinated efforts across sectors. Collaboration with international partners is vital for deploying low-carbon technologies.

TCMA Chairman Surachai Nimla-or introduced this strategic initiative as a turning point, focusing on competitiveness, sustainability, and low carbon. The SARABURI SANDBOX pilot project plays a crucial role in this transition by testing various solutions on a smaller scale.
