Telekom Austria: A1 Group Reports Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2024 Results

Telekom Austria's A1 Group revealed its financial performance for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year of 2024. The company posted a 3.1% increase in total revenue, supported by a 4.0% growth in service revenue. EBITDA rose by 5.1%, excluding exceptions, with all markets performing well except Slovenia. Despite a spin-off impacting net results, the proforma net result increased by 12.5%, amounting to EUR 627 million.

A significant reduction in net debt, excluding leases, by EUR 283 million was reported, lowering the net debt to EBITDA ratio to 0.2x by year-end 2024. Capital expenditures decreased by 21% to EUR 865 million, owing to cost-saving measures and reduced spectrum expenditures.

The company's subscriber base saw a 7.4% year-on-year growth, along with a 1.3% rise in revenue-generating units. For the fourth quarter, revenues increased by 7.8% with a 7.1% EBITDA growth, or 9.6% when excluding one-offs. Telekom Austria also maintained strong ESG ratings and proposed an 11% dividend increase to EUR 0.40 per share for the fiscal year 2024.
