Telekom Austria: A1 Group Announces Q3 and 1-9M 2024 Results

Telekom Austria's A1 Group reported a 2.1% increase in revenues for Q3 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, despite a decline in equipment revenues. Service revenues grew by 3.1%, fueled by measures to protect value and strong fixed-line performance in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

Operational expenditures increased due to higher workforce costs and restructuring expenses. However, EBITDA rose by 5.1% to EUR 548 million, with the margin improving from 39.3% to 40.4%. The net result for the first nine months of 2024 was 1.3% lower on a proforma basis due to increased depreciation and amortization (D&A).

Capital expenditures decreased by 21.2% year-over-year, leading to a free cash flow increase of 28.7%. A1's sustainability efforts were recognized with a gold medal from Ecovadis, placing it in the top 3% of the ranking.
