Symrise Partners with HBC to Enhance Health and Nutrition Offerings

German company Symrise AG has announced a strategic partnership with Hofseth BioCare (HBC), a Norwegian producer of salmon-based ingredients. This collaboration will enhance Symrise's portfolio in the Human Health and Pet Nutrition markets with clinically validated marine products. HBC, noted for its sustainable marine proteins, collagens, and oils, plans to upgrade its Berkak facility to significantly boost production capacity.

The partnership aims to leverage Symrise's market presence to globalize HBC's products. Symrise CEO, Dr. Jean-Yves Parisot, emphasized the joint initiative's alignment with Symrise's growth strategy in health sectors. HBC's innovative use of salmon offcuts contributes to producing bioactive ingredients with proven health benefits. Jon Olav Odegard from HBC expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration's potential to expand HBC's market access and scale.
