Swissnex Presents Climate Ring Conference at Climate Week NYC 2024

Swissnex will host the Climate Ring from September 25-27, 2024, at Performance Space New York. This event coincides with Climate Week NYC, the largest climate festival globally. The venue will be transformed into a boxing arena, featuring 12 events over three days, inspired by the rounds of a boxing match.

The Climate Ring includes discussions, exhibitions, and performances from leading figures in science, innovation, and the arts. Notable participants are ecologist Thomas Crowther from ETH Zurich and New York nightlife impresaria Susanne Bartsch. The event aims to showcase diverse perspectives on climate change from Switzerland, the U.S., and other countries.

Climate Week NYC, described as a "Burning Man for climate geeks" by The New York Times, runs parallel to the UN General Assembly High-Level Week. It includes over 600 events across various sectors, bringing together leaders from government, business, academia, and civil society.

Among the Climate Ring activities, three student art exhibits will address the climate crisis, in collaboration with Zurich University of the Arts, Geneva University of Art and Design, and other institutions. The events are free with registration available through Swissnex.
