Sun Peak Metals Announces Encouraging Assay Results from 2020 Drill Program
Vancouver, BC / ACCESSWIRE / May 28, 2024 / Sun Peak Metals Corp. (TSXV:PEAK)(OTCQB:SUNPF) reports final drill assay results from its October-November 2020 drill program, which was suspended due to the Tigray regional conflict in Ethiopia. Exploration included drilling in the Meli Main, Meli Far-West, and Anguda Southern Limb targets.
Key highlights include: ML-013 intercepting 8.89 meters with 2.22% copper, 2.76 g/t gold, and 31.8 g/t silver; ML-014 intercepting 11.48 meters with 2.38% copper, 3.57 g/t gold, and 31.2 g/t silver; and ML-018 intercepting 9.61 meters with 2.21% copper, 3.18 g/t gold, and 32.3 g/t silver.
CEO Greg Davis expressed satisfaction with the recovery and integrity of the drill core, stating that these results confirm the presence of large VMS systems. VP David Daoud highlighted the potential of the Meli and Anguda targets, expecting the current drilling to reveal more about these systems.
