Successful Local Productions by Splendid Film

Splendid Medien AG has announced considerable success with their children's film ‘Juf Braaksel en de Magische Ring’, co-produced with AM Pictures. The film has welcomed nearly 240,000 viewers over the past four months in the Benelux regions. This adaptation stems from a popular Dutch children's book by author Carry Slee and tells the story of children battling their oppressive new headmistress with the aid of a magical ring.

Thomas Wolff, the Managing Director of Splendid Film B.V., attributed the success to the engaging local themes and familiar characters. Andreas R. Klein, CEO of Splendid Medien AG, expressed pride in the accomplishments of Splendid Film B.V. since its inception in 2016, particularly in the fields of (co-)production and marketing of local film rights.

Looking forward, Splendid Film has announced plans to extend its co-production projects within the Netherlands, promising a diverse genre spectrum from more live-action adaptations to romantic comedies and horror films. A sequel to ‘Juf Braaksel en de Magische Ring’ is also anticipated later this year, following the local success of the film.
