STRABAG SE Reports Improved Earnings and Elevated 2026 Guidance
STRABAG SE, a European technology group in construction services, has released its 2026 semi-annual report, showcasing a 12% increase in output volume, reaching €10 billion for the first time at the half-year mark. The order backlog reached a record €36 billion, marking a 27% rise. EBIT grew by 35% to €174 million, and net income increased by 25% to €119 million. The company has adjusted its 2026 guidance, anticipating an output near €23 billion, with an EBIT margin between 5.5% and 6%.
Significant contributions to the order backlog came from infrastructure contracts in Germany and railway projects in Australia. Financially, STRABAG reported a 30% rise in EBITDA to €560.09 million and a net interest income increase, partly due to reduced exchange rate effects. Despite a slight reduction in cash position due to seasonality and investments, cash flow from operations improved.
The company also experienced a 2% rise in its workforce due to strategic acquisitions. Strong order backlog growth and output increases have led to elevated expectations for 2026.
