The Stepstone Salary Report 2024 indicates that gender pay discrepancies in Germany begin with the first job, where men earn a median salary of 40,250 euros compared to women's 37,500 euros in the same period, reflecting a 4.8 percent adjusted gender pay gap. This disparity is observed despite men and women being equally successful in salary negotiations, though women report feeling less comfortable in these situations.

In light of Equal Pay Day 2024, the report highlights an increasing salary gap with career progression, with an adjusted gender pay gap of 5.5 percent among full-time employees.
