Soitec announces its financial results for the first quarter of 2024-2025
Soitec, a company specializing in semiconductor materials, published a turnover of 121 million euros for the first quarter of 2024-2025, representing a decrease of 24% at constant scope and exchange rates compared to the period. corresponding to the previous financial year. This decrease amounts to 23% in published data, compared to 157 million euros in the first quarter of 2023-2024.
The Mobile Communications division recorded a significant decline of 46% in sales, at constant exchange rates, mainly due to the reduction of RF-SOI inventories. The Automotive & Industry division also experienced a 31% decline in a slowdown automotive market.
Conversely, the Edge & Cloud AI division, formerly called Smart Objects, posted growth of 47%, driven by strong demand for Imager-SOI and Photonics-SOI substrates, used in particular in data centers.
Soitec maintains its annual forecasts, announcing stable turnover at constant scope and exchange rates, and an EBITDA margin of around 35% despite an anticipation of a rebound in the second half of 2024-2025.
