DRIFT Energy Adopts Enapter’s AEM Electrolyzers for Sailing Vessels

Enapter AG has been selected by DRIFT Energy Limited to supply AEM electrolyzer technology for DRIFT's energy-harvesting sailing vessels. This partnership aims to integrate Enapter’s "marinised" electrolyzer design into DRIFT's maritime fleet, which plans to convert wind energy into green hydrogen at sea.

DRIFT's decision was influenced by the reliability and scalability of Enapter’s modular electrolyzer platform, essential for offshore operations. The companies aim to meet marine certification requirements and target deploying the first maritime-ready unit in 2027. DRIFT's pipeline includes over 30 vessels set to benefit from this technology.

Enapter's AEM technology facilitates efficient green hydrogen production without costly raw materials. The collaboration signifies a step toward reducing maritime carbon emissions by creating zero-emission fuel at sea.
