SMT Scharf AG Secures Significant Order for Middle East Tunnel Project

SMT Scharf AG announced it has been awarded a substantial order related to a tunnel project in the Middle East. The company, known for providing rail-bound transport systems, confirmed the deal on March 22, 2024. This new contract, hailed as a major order, comes from a first-time customer and involves the construction of two tunnels each spanning approximately 4,350 meters.

The agreement, valued in the low double-digit million euro range, stipulates SMT Scharf to supply six transport systems designed for both material and passenger conveyance. The scheduled deliveries are set to occur throughout 2025, with expected positive influences on the company’s revenue and earnings for the year.
