Smile launches new insurance for dog owners in Spain

Smile, a Swiss online insurance specialist, is developing its offering on the Spanish market with the launch of smile.dog. This product, civil liability insurance intended for dog owners, responds to new regulations to come in Spain imposing this form of insurance.

After the success of smile.mobility in 2023, smile.dog enriches the Smile range. This product offers coverage of up to 400,000 euros for bodily injury and property damage caused to third parties, including associated legal costs. Subscription is entirely digital and coverage can be extended throughout Europe.

Smile's online model complements that of Helvetia, with whom Smile collaborates closely in Spain, notably with Caser and HelvetiaSeguros for the development of innovative products. This expansion is part of the helvetia20.25 strategy, which aims to expand digital services in Austria and Spain.
