Smart Chip Switzerland AG Debuts "Smart Chip" in Germany and Switzerland
Smart Chip Switzerland AG has launched its innovative "Smart Chip" product in over 100 locations across Germany and Switzerland. This multifunctional chip, designed for application on fingernails, enables contactless payments and the transmission of business information.
Infineon Technologies AG is a key partner in this launch, providing semiconductor solutions and IoT expertise. The chip is a result of rigorous R&D, tailored to fit comfortably on a small antenna compatible with fingernails.
The Smart Chip integrates a coil and capacitors, remains usable under various conditions, and is managed via a custom app. After a test phase, preparations for expansion into other countries are underway. The product is primarily available in nail salons, and a temporary presence at Swisscom shop in Zurich is planned.
