SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG Partners with ROLTEC for CIGS Thin-Film Factory in Poland

SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG has announced its collaboration with ROLTEC in establishing a new facility in Poland aimed at producing CIGS thin-film solar modules. This project is part of an EU initiative to bolster renewable energy supply chains in Europe. SINGULUS will supply three cutting-edge vacuum sputtering systems for this venture, which is scheduled for setup in 2025.

The technology provided involves PVD sputtering systems crucial for depositing layers on glass substrates required in the production of CIGS solar modules. SINGULUS employs dry, cadmium-free processes, emphasizing precise layer control and environmental responsibility.

While the initial focus remains on CIGS technology, both companies are exploring tandem photovoltaic applications, promising potential gains in efficiency. This partnership demonstrates a commitment to innovation and sustainable energy solutions.
