Simcere Zaiming and Roche Join Forces for SIM0660 Development

On September 1, 2026, Simcere Zaiming, part of Simcere Pharmaceutical Group, announced a licensing agreement with Roche. The deal focuses on SIM0660, a tri-specific antibody with potential against B-cell-mediated diseases. Roche will develop and commercialize SIM0660 globally. Simcere Zaiming will receive up to $1.530 billion, with $75 million upfront and royalties based on sales.

SIM0660 targets CD79a, CD19, and CD3, aiming to enhance T cell-mediated cytotoxicity. It offers a first-in-class approach to these antigens and may benefit patients resistant to CD20- or CD19-directed therapies. The antibody could also help treat B-cell-mediated autoimmune diseases.

Renhong Tang, CEO of Simcere Zaiming, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its potential to accelerate global clinical developments. Boris L. Zaïtra from Roche emphasized the agreement's alignment with Roche's commitment to innovative therapies.
