Shanghai Electric Launches Sino-Pakistan Academy for Engineers

Shanghai Electric, in collaboration with Shanghai Dianji University, has launched the Sino-Pakistan Academy of Excellence for Engineers. Unveiled on November 24, this initiative aims to cultivate internationally competitive engineering talents, focusing on energy and electrical disciplines.

The Academy is a key part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework. It offers specialized master's programs aligned with the Thar Block-I project demands. The curriculum emphasizes practical challenges, combining theoretical knowledge with real-world application, facilitated by mentorships from professors and industry experts.

This initiative represents Shanghai Electric's commitment to combining academia with industry needs, enhancing cross-cultural technological exchanges. The company reported investing 2.546 billion CNY in R&D in the first half of 2025, underlining its strategic focus on innovation and human capital.
