SCHOTT Pharma Introduces Efficient and Sustainable Cartridge Nest Design

SCHOTT Pharma has unveiled an innovative diamond-shaped nest design for ready-to-use (RTU) cartridges, enhancing efficiency in pharmaceutical filling processes by up to 67%. This new design also reduces CO2 emissions by around 25% in the supply chain for 1.5 ml cartridges. The nest improves packing density by up to 60%, while maintaining stability and the same external dimensions.

CEO Andreas Reisse emphasized the efficiency and sustainability benefits of the design, particularly for critical medications like GLP-1, insulin, and hormone therapies. SCHOTT Pharma's nest design, part of their cartriQ® range, is available For Human Use (FHU) and is manufactured in St. Gallen, Switzerland. It accommodates up to 160 cartridges in various sizes.

The cartriQ® platform supports pharma companies by offering pre-washed, depyrogenated, siliconized, and steam-sterilized cartridges, ready for immediate use. This launch further exemplifies SCHOTT Pharma’s commitment to providing innovative, high-value solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.
