Schaeffler confirms the renewal of its automotive division leaders
On February 23, 2024, Schaeffler AG announced the renewal of Matthias Zink and Jens Schüler as CEOs of its automotive divisions for a five-year term starting on January 1, 2025. Matthias Zink, 54, has been leading the Automotive Technologies division since 2017, while Jens Schüler, 49, heads the global Automotive Aftermarket division, which will be renamed Vehicle Lifetime Solutions on March 1, 2024. These decisions were made during a meeting of Schaeffler's Supervisory Board, emphasizing the company's commitment to continuity and experienced management amidst technological transformations in the automotive industry.
Zink's professional journey began in 1994 with the LuK group, which became part of Schaeffler in 2000, before rising through the ranks to become the President of CLEPA as of January 2024. On the other hand, Schüler joined Schaeffler in 2003 with a degree in economics from the University of Mainz, and has held important leadership positions in the Automotive Aftermarket division. Their experience will also be valuable following the planned merger with Vitesco Technologies Group AG in the fourth quarter of 2024, through which Schaeffler will strengthen its structure into four focused divisions.
