Sanofi signs an agreement with the United States to reduce the cost of medicines

On December 19, 2025, Sanofi announced it had reached an agreement with the administration of President Donald Trump to make medicines more affordable for Americans. This partnership is part of an effort to strengthen bioproduction and biopharmaceutical innovation in the United States.

The terms of this voluntary and confidential agreement will allow Medicaid programs to access certain Sanofi medications at reduced prices, similar to those in other high-income countries. A price reduction of 61% is expected for specific treatments.

Sanofi also intends to offer patients direct access to medicines, including some insulins, with discounts via platforms like TrumpRx.gov.

In parallel, Sanofi will invest $20 billion to modernize its US facilities. This commitment is accompanied by a three-year tariff exemption for imported products.
