Rubean and shopreme Announce Partnership for Smart Self-Checkout Solutions

Munich-based Rubean AG, a fintech company known for its contactless payment software, and shopreme GmbH, a leader in self-checkout systems in Europe, have entered a strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to innovate brick-and-mortar retail by integrating Rubean’s SoftPOS app with shopreme's self-checkout products.

The integration will transform traditional shopping carts into 'smart carts' equipped with screens and self-scanning capabilities. Customers can now pay using card or smartphone on these devices, bypassing traditional checkouts. Retailers will also benefit by gaining insights into customer behavior seamlessly from scanning to payment.

Hermann Geupel, Co-CEO of Rubean, highlights the complementarity of both companies' technologies, while shopreme's CCO, Nico Müller, emphasizes the seamless shopping experience this partnership ensures.
