Eastern Mediterranean Petrochemical Cluster by Rönesans Attracts Over $3 Billion Investment

The Eastern Mediterranean Petrochemical Cluster (DAPEK) in Ceyhan, Adana, has surpassed $3 billion in investments. Spearheaded by Rönesans Holding, it features a new $2 billion Polypropylene Production Facility and Liquid Bulk Terminal. DAPEK's integrated industrial hub includes port investments and energy infrastructure. The collaboration with Surbana Jurong Group has increased interest, drawing on models like Rotterdam and Singapore's Jurong Island.

The 1,300-hectare cluster aims to transform Türkiye's industrial landscape, offering a comprehensive ecosystem. Erman Ilıcak, of Rönesans Holding, noted DAPEK's role in bolstering Türkiye's industrial framework. The strategic location at essential trade crossroads enhances its significance amid shifting global routes. The project significantly contributes to reducing Türkiye's petrochemical import dependence and generates local employment.
