ReOrbit Selects Mynaric for Laser Communication Demonstration

MUNICH, June 25, 2024 – Mynaric AG has announced its selection by ReOrbit to supply its CONDOR Mk3 terminal for a mission aimed at demonstrating secure space-to-space and space-to-ground communication. The CONDOR Mk3 terminal will be used in ReOrbit's upcoming UKKO mission.

ReOrbit CEO Sethu Saveda Suvanam emphasized that the era of horizontal consolidation and vertical cooperation in the space industry has begun. He expressed confidence in Mynaric's technology to enhance satellite communication capabilities, improving mission efficiency through networking and inter-satellite communication.

Lubos Fedora, Senior Sales and Business Development Manager at Mynaric, highlighted that this selection underscores the reliability of Mynaric’s laser communications technology. This collaboration further positions Mynaric as a key supplier to European organizations and government entities.

Mynaric recently commenced volume production of the CONDOR Mk3, designed for mass deployment. The company has secured multiple contracts, including those with Northrop Grumman, York Space Systems, and others for various space development programs.
